Abstract
The article is devoted to the description of property signs (tamgas) of khans and noyons of «Old Torguts» of the seim «Unen sudzuktu» in the Qing Empire. It is talked of tamga of Zoriktukhan, tamga of the head of the council, etc. The author has revealed that «Old Torguts» during the Qing period had such tamgas as 1 tamga of the khan, 4 tamgas of the head of the council and 10 tamgas of the dzasaks — 15 silver tamgas in total.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the signs of property (tamgas) of 3 divisions of the Oirats in the Qing period: 1) the aymak of the “New Torguts” of the seim “Chin Sedkeltu”; 2) the Khoshut’s aymak of the seim “Bat Sedkeltu” and 3) the khoshun of the Edziney Torguts. Names of the noyons are listed. The tamgas of the head of the aymak council and of the head of administration of khoshun “Barun ergeed” are described in the first part of the article. The second part is devoted to the description of the tamgas of the head of the Khoshut’s aymak council, of the head of the khoshun’s administration of the Khoshut’s aymak, of the head of the middle khoshun administration and of the head of the khoshun administration of «Barun etgeed» of the Khoshut’s aymak. The third part contains the description of the tamgas of the head of the Edziney Torguts’ khoshun.

The article is devoted to the research of the toponim Oryn gants modn (the Lonely tree on the river Or) which one can find in Oirat text. Localization of the river Or which has entitled district is defined. The author has found out that «the lonely tree» was a poplar, and it is mentioned in one of T. Shevchenko’s poems.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the complex historical and genetic analysis of Kalmyk populations. It is based on the data that have been collected in the Republic of Kalmykia in 2004–2006. The genetic and demographic material in 9 rural populations of 3 districts of the Republic with a total number of 6 540 persons was analyzed. Genetic polymorphism of coagulation factor XIII B subunit (FXIIIB) among representatives of three subethnic groups of the Kalmyks was investigated: Dorbeds (n=82); Torguts (n=108) and Buzavas (n=63) and revealed considerable heterogeneity concerning the contribution of various anthropological components.

Abstract
The subject of the article is the name of inflow of Yenisei, the river Angara, which name, according to tradition, is noted for the first time in the chronicle of Rashid-ad-Din. Being based on the data of Russian documents and descriptions of travelers of 17th century, the author makes a conclusion, that at that time the name Angara belonged to another river, flowing into Baikal, and missing the tradition, considers that this name originates from the Evenki language.

The article is devoted to the research of the Oirat manuscript entitled «The History of Bagamay Hatun». The author shows that there is a deep connection of this work with folklore. «The History of Bagamay Hatun» probably has been borrowed from the Chinese or Tibetan culture, but deeply reconsidered. In this connection the question on origin of the monument is rather complicated.
