1976 — graduated from Irkutsk State University.

1977–1986 — teacher of Russian language and literature in Datta village (Khabarovsky area, Vaninsky district)

1986–2003 — lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, Department of the world literature history, North-Eastern Siberia’s State Institute for Culture (Ulan-Ude)

2003– till now — senior, leading, chief research associate, task coordinator of the Department of literature and folklore studies, Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of the RAS

PhD degree got in 1997, Doctoral — in 2006.

Research Interests: Mythology, folklore and literature of Mongolian and Siberian peoples, poetics, symbolics of ritual and cult poetry, main tendencies of the development of Buryat poetry, text, con- and inter-text.
